What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Long Term Substitute - Science position at Hartford Public Schools?
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Official transcripts with a total of 60 credit hours and a minimum 2.0 GPA from regionally accredited colleges/universities
or
- Current Michigan Teaching Certificate or Expired Michigan Teaching Certificate
- Endorsement in Science
- Fingerprinted for MI School Employment on or after January 2006 and have been continuously employed by a K-12 educational institution or by its third party staffing company since being printed
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for instructing students at the secondary level, concentrating in science
- Maintain proper classroom management
- Strong classroom management & instructional strategies
- Evaluate students' academic and social growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare progress reports
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials to meet the needs of all students
- Maintain communications with students, parents, staff and the community
- Ability to inspire and motivate students in the area of science
- Participate in district professional development programs as required
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Principal, and/or designee

Pay: Up to $150.00 per day
