What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Counselor position at HARTFORD'S CAMP COURANT?
***Hiring for ages 17 and older only at this time ***
Effectively supervise all campers in unit and make recommendations for improvements as needed;
Follow daily schedule of activities, assignments and duties for each unit, as provided by the Unit Director;
Assist with the unloading and loading of buses;
Assist campers during lunch, swimming and in the locker rooms;
Assist Program Director in specialty areas, such as Arts & Crafts, Nature, etc…
Help maintain a clean and safe Camp facility by monitoring grounds daily and reporting
areas of concern to reduce risk or injury of staff, campers and visitors;
Inform Assistant to Behavior Specialist of any camper issues;
Attend any additional staff trainings and meetings as necessary;
Perform a variety of additional duties as deemed necessary to achieve the goals of Hartford’s Camp Courant.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $16.35 - $16.50 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
