HARTFORD TRUCK EQUIPMENT, INC. is a well-established truck up fitter and equipment dealer located in South Windsor. We recently have expanded and are looking for an experienced professional to join our parts department with opportunity for advancement!
JOB SUMMARY:
The successful candidate will have a hand in all aspects of the parts department including inventory control (shipping/receiving, obsolescence control, parts turnover, stock order efficiencies, etc.), preparing departmental budgets, key performance indicators, marketing and selling parts to successfully achieve financial targets. This position requires a friendly disposition with the ability to interact with a broad base of customers. Solid computer skills and some mechanical knowledge are a must. Equipment or auto industry experience is preferred.
DUTIES:
Oversee the parts sales process from customer inquiry, to invoicing the customer.
Maintains parts inventory by verifying supplies; placing orders when needed.
Complete special order part requests for any parts that need to be ordered for the customer.
Communicate with customers on the status of parts ordered and notify them upon delivery.
Assure parts are ordered and received in time for scheduled jobs.
Assist mechanics with gathering the parts needed to complete assigned jobs.
Stock items by unpacking, arranging, and placing items in correct location; adjusting inventory.
Complete warranty paperwork per vendor specifications and company policy.
Perform other duties as assigned and seek out other tasks during down time.
Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma required
Experience with auto parts sales preferred
Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft office suite
Focused on providing great customer service and end user follow through
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume work environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Able to lift over 75lbs
Valid and current Driver's License
Forklift experience a plus
