Hartford Truck Equipment, Inc is expanding again! We have immediate openings for full-time Truck Equipment Installers on our team of dedicated professionals.
Essential Job Functions:
Install truck mounted equipment including but not limited to: Dump, Utility and Flatbed bodies; plows; spreaders; emergency lights; truck accessories; cranes; and liftgates.
- Weld components using professional welding equipment.
- Operates plasma cutter and oxy/acetylene torch.
- Wire 12v electrical accessories
- Drill holes with power drills and other applicable tools as needed.
- Install PTO systems and assemble hydraulic systems and hoses.
Job Benefits:
Compensation is based on industry experience and typically ranges from $20 to $40 as a base hourly rate. New technicians start at $20 an hour and after 6 months the hourly rate increases to $24 an hour. In addition to the hourly rate, we offer a shop incentive that scales with experience as a weekly bonus.

In addition to meeting the qualifications listed below, top candidates will be self-starters who are committed to growing their careers, are very dependable and open to taking constructive feedback.
- Professional experience and/or training in general construction activities, including using power and air tools, ability to read a tape measure, and more.
- Prior welding and basic electrical experience.
- Experience reading and understanding diagrams.
- Ability to follow company safety standards while maintaining efficiency.
- Forklift certification required (within 90 days of employment).

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 42.5 per week
