Position Summary:
The Yard Goats are looking for personable, dynamic individuals to help sell 50/50 raffle tickets at Yard Goats home games at Dunkin’ Park. We are looking for individuals who are comfortable talking to fans at games and have the stamina to strive for new goals each day. Your main focus will be promoting and selling raffle tickets to raise funds for The Hartford Yard Goats Charitable Foundation. Responsibilities include educating guests about raffle rules, promoting our philanthropic efforts, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
This is the perfect job if you have experience giving college tours, training staff, or experience with in-person or door-to-door sales. Prizes awarded for outstanding sales, in addition to regular pay. This job does require you to be on your feet walking around for the entire shift.
Work together to achieve individual and team sales goals as raffle tickets are sold from gates open until the game's end. Join us in making a positive impact!
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Facilitating raffle ticket sales via an electronic handheld device.
- Ensure raffle tickets are only sold to guests 18 years of age or older.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with guests, answering questions, and promoting the raffle.
- Effectively handle any issues that might arise from raffle ticket purchasers.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Characteristics:
- Must be 18 years of age or older by the start date of employment.
- GED/High School Diploma.
- Ability to work at least 60% of Hartford Yard Goats home games.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays, as scheduled.
- Experience handling credit cards in a sales role.
- Must be comfortable approaching people and selling in front of crowds.
- Team player attitude and desire to work hard to meet group fundraising goals.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to walk, stand, and climb stairs in an outdoor setting for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in outside elements including heat, rain, and cold.
- Able to lift up to 20 lbs.

This position is considered Non-Exempt for FLSA purposes. The hourly rate for this position is $16.35 per hour. As a Part Time, Seasonal employee, you will not have a regular schedule. Your schedule will be based on the Company's business needs, which vary week to week and month to month depending primarily on the 2025 Minor League home baseball schedule for the Hartford Yard Goats. There are no minimum hours guaranteed during any day, week, month or year of your employment.
