What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Clerk position at HARTING Americas?
Shifts Available: 1st Shift (8 AM – 4:30 PM)
Temp-to-hire. Potential to convert based on performance.
SUMMARY:
Performs the accurate shipping of outbound orders to customers and also receiving of incoming material for stock by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Pick customer orders from stock based on printed orders and places orders on pallets or shelves, or transport to packing station or shipping area.
- Pack customer orders, including counting and weighing of products
- Receive incoming stock from HARTING GBU locations – Germany, China or other GBU’s
- Sort incoming materials and use RF scanning system
- Operate lift truck or use hand-truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent;
- Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of freight processing software and shipping computer systems (i.e. UPS / FedEx).
- Detailed oriented
- Forklift Certification is a plus.
- Safety shoes required
