A leader in connectivity products and custom solutions…..We are seeking Legal Counsel (PART TIME, 20-25 hours per week) (Hybrid; based in Elgin, Illinois) to take on a full range of legal matters, including commercial contracts, risk management, compliance, and corporate maintenance. Although not required, the ideal candidate will have in-house experience, familiarity with industrial manufacturing, as well as corporate generalist acumen (commercial agreements, corporate law, employment law, insurance claims, litigation management, supply chain, etc.).HARTING aims to be a trusted advisor to HARTING customers and positions itself as the go-to source expert for industrial connectivity solutions. We partner directly with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Distribution partners for standard product, designed-in value-added products, and Product Development initiatives. Reporting directly to the General Counsel - Americas, the part-time Legal Counsel will directly partner with a range of functional departments, including sales, distribution, supply chain, and so on.To succeed in this role, you will be highly driven to : Review, analyze, negotiate and draft NDAs, terms and conditions of sale, procurement contracts, policies, correspondence, training materials, and other legal documentsAdvise internal clients on legal and contractual rights, obligations, and interpretation of termsCoordinate with stakeholders to ensure the company’s desired business specifications are carried outDevelop internal policies and procedures for contract management and corporate operationsOther duties as assignedMust Have Skills And Experience Juris Doctorate; Member of Bar in Good Standing, preferably Illinois5-10 years of corporate experience in a strong law firm and / or with an in-house legal groupCommercial contracts experience (including terms and conditions of sale, master supply agreements, procurement contracts, business agreements, employment contracts and non-disclosure agreements)Outstanding communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high activity environment, and able to handle ambiguity, juggle many matters at once, and quickly shift from one situation or task to another.Exceptional organizational and document management skills, the ability to deploy digital tools to support a legal team as it supports its organization.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), and Adobe AcrobatExperience as in-house counsel or with a law firm dedicated in supporting an internal sales organization is strongly preferredExperience with Trade Law preferred, but not requiredHARTING Americas is a subsidiary of HARTING Technology Group, a German-based global leader in industrial connectivity solutions.
