We are currently seeking a middle school ELA teacher to work at Hartland Elementary School.
● Hartland Elementary School is located in the center of the vibrant Upper Valley. It is in
close proximity to Dartmouth College and less than a two hour trip to Boston. Hartland
Elementary School is a public elementary school serving approximately 250 students in
grades K-8. Our school is dedicated to a student centered approach through projects,
an integrated curriculum, differentiated instructional strategies, and proficiency based
learning. We value educating the whole child through a team approach. We are an
enthusiastic and inclusive community committed to student agency and self-directed
learning.
Qualifications:
Vermont Teaching License- Middle Level Endorsement in English Language Arts, or related
certification.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Understand the middle grades philosophy and the unique developmental needs of
middle grade learners;
● Have experience with proficiency based teaching and learning;
● Demonstrate energy and enthusiasm;
● Take initiative, and engage in self-reflection;
● Demonstrate the ability to foster a positive rapport with students and families;
● Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members;
● Motivate and engage students;
● Enjoy co-planning/teaching and have experience integrating curriculum;
● Interest, willingness, and/or experience integrating and advancing practices of
diversity, equity and inclusion
