What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cross-Trained Pediatric Medical Assistant position at Hartland Pediatrics?
Our pediatric office is growing and we are searching for an honest, loyal,
competent, self-motivated, professional administrative medical assistant that is cross-trained as a clinical medical assistant.
Like-minded, team players that have customer service skills, a great smile, and a positive attitude.
Brief Job Description to include but not limited to:
Administrative:
- Use of Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- Answering multi-line phones/taking messages/scheduling appointments
- Checking patients in & out, schedule follow up appointments
- Accepting and verifying insurance payers
- Accepting payments, setting up payment plans
- Proficient in Microsoft office software
- Generating Patient Reports
Clinical:
- Verify/correct patient information
- Prepare patients for examination
- Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence
- Assist providers with various clinical procedures
- Venipuncture & Immunization administration required
- Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards & procedures
- Serves and protects the office by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedure federal, state and local requirements
Education requirements:
- Highschool or equivalent
- Completion of Medical Assistant program
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant is preferred
- Pediatrics experience preferred

- Must also enjoy working with kids, age ranging from 1 day to 19 years old.
- Proven work experience as a Medical Assistant/Front Desk

- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.00 per week
