Job Summary:
The Landscape Foreman is an essential part of the team at Hartman Landscaping. The ideal Landscape Foreman is hard working, dependable and detail oriented.
Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Landscape Foreman will perform a variety of landscaping tasks such as planting, pruning, mulching, edging, weeding, chemical treatment applications, leaf and debris removal, and maintaining lawn care equipment.
This is a full time position.

- Production Manager / Account Manager
Subordinate Positions:
- Landscape Technician
Job Responsibilities:
- Arrive on time and ready to start the work day
- Closely follow directions
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance
- Complete assigned tasks with accuracy and timeliness
- Operate equipment safely and effectively
- Perform maintenance and minor repairs on lawncare equipment and tools as needed
- Must work well independently as well as with a team
- Operate snow removal equipment during the winter
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Other related tasks as needed
Job Requirements:
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License (with insurable driving record)
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to perform routine tasks without direct supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability and willingness to work any shift including weekends, holidays, and on-call when needed
- Ability and willingness to work a varied schedule dependent upon weather conditions
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check
- Physical ability to safely lift heavy loads and stand/sit/bend/pull/kneel for long periods of time
Skills:
- Capacity to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to adapt to the daily challenges associated with a busy work environment
- Ability to safely and effectively operate a variety of lawn care equipment including chain saws, lawn mowers, tractors, clippers, trimmers and more.
- Strong problem solving, conflict management and organizational skills
- Ability to take direction from, and perform tasks as instructed by, supervisor
- Ability to work in varied, and sometimes severe, weather conditions
- Landscaping experience is a plus
- Strong mental and visual concentration
Working Conditions:
- Employee will regularly encounter variable types of inclement weather
- Employee will regularly perform physically challenging tasks
- Daily use of a variety of tools, landscape maintenance equipment, and tractors
- Considerable periods of standing/sitting/kneeling/bending/squatting
- Moderate to heavy lifting, pushing, pulling at times
- Company uniform required to be worn daily as well as all necessary personal protective equipment
- Some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness
