Harts Bluff ISD is seeking a Secondary Social Studies Teacher / Asst. Boys Basketball, Tennis Coach
Primary Purpuse:
Provdide student with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their portential for intllectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and sckills to fuction successfully in society.
Instruct and coach students to develop skills and abilities to excel in athletics. Provide each student with the opportunity to participate in an extracurricular athletic activity and ensure compliance with all federal, state, University Interscholastic League (UIL), and local requirements.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certification with required endorsements
Demostrated competency in the coresubject area assigned
Current first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automated external defibrillator (AED) certificate
Pass U.S. Department of Transportation alcohol and drug tests and annual physical (include if bus driving duties are required)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
General Knowledge of curriculum and istruction
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Ability to oversee student field experinces in career areas assigned
Strong organizational, Communication, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of coaching techniques and procedures
Knowledge of federal, state, and UIL policies governing athletics
Experience:
At least one-year teacheing or approved intership
Successful teaching and coaching experience
