Description
The Quality Technician will be primary contact for customer return and warranty issues. Quality in-process, final inspection, testing at various stages of the product life cycle. This responsibility includes the comparison of product to specifications and meeting the needs of the customer. This position has responsibility for quality goals: cost of poor quality, PPM, and MUI measurements and will focus on prevention. This position will have to communicate necessary information to ensure customer satisfaction both internal and external to Hartung Glass Industries. Also, communicates with corporate groups such as technical service, product control, customer order service, quality management and other key leaders. Technicians will have regular contact with customers related to product performance.
Requirements
· Performs quality control tests/inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc. at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards.
· Records statistical data.
· Analyzes data and writes summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standards.
· Recommends modifications to existing, or suggest new, standards, methods and procedures.
· Attendance is an essential function of this position. The employee must have regular, reliable, punctual and consistent attendance.
· Other tasks or duties as assigned.
