JOB OVERVIEW:

• As a Mobile Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of outdoor power riding and zero turn equipment. This position will require the achievement of certifications or training completion that supports the dealership and vendor requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, can suggest improvement, and is a positive influence on others. This person has a proven track record of being customer-focused, capable of promoting a team environment, and has a passion for ensuring the optimal performance of outdoor power equipment and machinery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Perform maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks, blade sharpening, and basic recalls (product improvement program/”PIP”) to ensure equipment longevity and optimal performance. These repairs ideally will be done at the customer’s home/garage using a mobile service vehicle.

• Diagnose, inspect, and complete minor repairs of outdoor power equipment, including tractors, zero-turns, riding lawn equipment, loaders, and implements.

• Utilize and be a leader in new diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and address issues promptly.

• Offer guidance and technical support to customers, answering queries and providing recommendations for equipment maintenance.

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all services performed, including parts used, labor hours, and diagnostic findings using repair software on a laptop or tablet.

• Complete service reports and submit them in a timely manner for billing and warranty purposes.

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing all tasks.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring the safe operation of tools and equipment. Promote safety to others.

• Other related duties as assigned by management.

• Self-starter who requires little direct supervision, can work with scheduler, parts, and other technicians seamlessly supporting a common goal including but not limited to assisting in the repair operation production flow.

• Drives to improve overall performance through training and certifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience as a service technician, in the outdoor power equipment industry and has advanced level of product training.

• Candidate will be required to have level 2 John Deere Certification within 30 days of hire. The ideal candidate will have a passion for continuing education and must reach level 3 within 18 months of hire.

• Has the ability to lead by example and promote a safe, clean working environment.

• Will be a positive influence on the overall morale of the department.

• Can work up to 45 hours average in peak season or at the direction of management; 40 hours in the off season.

o Schedule is Monday-Friday with a rotation of Saturday. Typically, a 7 am-4:30 pm shift.

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Continuously.

• Able to supply own tools or purchase through the employer at a discount. Specialty tools will be provided by the employer.

• A clean driving record.
