Job Summary
The Center Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the center, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. Duties
- Lead and manage all aspects of center operations, including staffing, budgeting, and program development.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and maintain a safe environment for children.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes childhood development and learning.
- Supervise staff, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their professional growth.
- Establish positive relationships with parents, addressing concerns and promoting open communication regarding their child's progress.
- Monitor classroom activities to ensure effective behavior management and classroom management practices are in place.
- Coordinate community outreach programs to strengthen connections with local resources and families.
- Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and implement strategies to support their development.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Experience in classroom management and behavior management techniques.
- Proficiency in caregiving practices related to preschool-aged children.
- Familiarity with daycare operations, including health and safety standards.
- First aid certification is preferred to ensure the safety of all children in care.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with parents, staff, and community members.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating strong leadership capabilities.
- Previous experience working with students in an educational or caregiving setting is highly desirable.
