Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator to oversee shop receiving, truck loading, and warehouse management operations. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials, managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and maintaining an organized warehouse. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, and warehouse operations, with a strong ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:Receiving & Inventory Management:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify packing lists, purchase orders, and invoices against delivered materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and track stock levels.
- Organize and store materials properly in designated warehouse locations.
- Communicate discrepancies, damages, or missing items to appropriate personnel.
Job Preparation & Organization:
- Prep jobs by gathering and staging exhibit components for shipping.
- Ensure that all required components are available and properly documented before shipping or use.
- Maintain an accurate online inventory to track job-related materials and availability, using the ERP system.
Truck Loading & Logistics:
- Coordinate and execute the safe and efficient loading of trucks for deliveries and event setups.
- Ensure proper packing and securing of items to prevent damage during transportation.
Warehouse Management & Organization:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse layout.
- Oversee material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) and ensure proper use and maintenance.
- Identify and implement process improvements for better workflow and efficiency.
- Implement warehouse safety procedures and compliance with OSHA regulations.
Coordination & Communication:
- Work closely with project managers, production teams, and logistics providers.
- Keep accurate records of inventory movements, shipments, and warehouse activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or logistics.
- High school diploma required (advanced degree preferred).
- Willingness to learn new skills and commit to extra hours when necessary to meet deadlines.
- Experience with forklift operation (certification preferred but not required).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (50 lbs).
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and shipping documentation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with standard hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Mandatory overtime may be required during peak seasons.
- Employees must be available to work up to 12-hour days, including weekends, when necessary.
