HARTZ Search invites to you to explore an exciting opportunity with our client in Oswego, NY – Oswego Health for a Senior Director, Facilities Management. The new Senior Director will plan, organize, supervise, coordinate and control the activities of the buildings’ operations and maintenance functions which are necessary in maintaining the physical structures across the health system. HVAC, mechanical, electrical systems, utilities, grounds and security in an operative and safe working condition. The Senior Director of Facilities shall be accountable to the VP Public Affairs & System Development for planning and maintaining an effective organization, for administering labor and material controls, for training of maintenance personnel in safety and for effective management practices. Oswego Health is in the window for TJC, currently and the new Senior Director will need to have demonstrated knowledge of TJC survey process and constant readiness.

More than 1,200 employees spread throughout its 17 locations, which include the 164-bed community hospital with a brand new Medical Surgical Unit, a 32-bed state-of-the-art psychiatric acute-care facility with multiple outpatient behavioral health service locations, The Manor at Seneca Hill, a 120-bed skilled nursing facility, and Springside at Seneca Hill, an independent retirement community. The health system also operates Oswego Health Home Care, the only hospital-based certified home healthcare agency in the County as well as two outpatient centers, including the Fulton Medical Center, offering urgent care, lab, medical imaging, physical therapy, and occupational health services; and the Central Square Medical Center, offering urgent care, lab, medical imaging, and physical therapy services. In addition, Oswego Health includes the Oswego Health captive professional corporation, Physician Care P.C., providing physician services in orthopedics, cardiology, ENT, gastroenterology, breast care, audiology, general surgery, bariatrics, and primary care.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Strong leadership development, communication and collaboration desired in the role.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent. College degree in Engineering field preferred.
- Basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boilers, hazardous material and safety management experience required.
- Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) certification desired.
- Minimum of five years of related experience required.
- Hospital maintenance experience required.
- Experience in management/supervision of all Facilities related departments (Security, Grounds, Biomed, etc.)
- Valid state driver's license.
- Must be familiar with DOH, JACHO, NFPA, & OSHA regulations.

Oswego is located on Lake Ontario in Upstate New York, about 35 miles northwest of Syracuse. It promotes itself as "The Port City of Central New York." It is the county seat of Oswego County.
