What You’ll Do
We are looking for a dedicated IT Intern to join our team, with a focus on hardware support, Windows operating systems, and assisting with upgrades to legacy computer systems. This internship offers hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting physical IT infrastructure, ensuring compatibility with Windows environments, and supporting the transition from outdated systems to modern solutions. The IT Intern will collaborate with our IT team to provide technical assistance and contribute to the success of hardware-related projects.
Key Deliverables
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing hardware issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Provide support for Windows operating systems (e.g., Windows 10, Windows 11) installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Help with the assessment, upgrade, and replacement of legacy computer systems, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Perform hardware diagnostics, component replacements, and system testing to ensure functionality post-upgrade.
- Support end-users during hardware and software transitions, addressing compatibility issues and providing training as needed.
- Assist in imaging and deploying Windows-based systems for new or upgraded workstations.
- Document hardware specifications, upgrade processes, and support tickets for legacy system transitions.

Requirements
Education/Experience
Current enrollment in a degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or recent graduate).
Technical Competencies
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware components (e.g., CPUs, RAM, storage drives, motherboards)
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems, including installation, updates, and user support.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a hands-on approach to technical tasks.
- Good communication skills to assist end-users and document processes effectively.
- Ability to lift and move hardware equipment
