Job Summary:
The Harvard University Department of Athletics is currently accepting applications for a 10-month internship in Athletics Multimedia, spanning from July of 2025 to May of 2026. The intern will report directly to and receive mentorship from Jamie Magone, Assistant Director of Multimedia and Production, and the other full-time staff within the multimedia department. The intern will assist with coverage of the university's 42-sport varsity athletics program.
Harvard Athletics boasts 42 varsity programs, the most among Division 1 schools in the country. As the first college to establish an athletic association, Harvard emphasizes success within the Ivy League, earning over 400 titles since 1956. Nationally, its teams have claimed more than 140 championships – with national champions in cross country, track and field, fencing, rugby, rowing, and sailing this past year alone. Most notably, the Crimson made history in the 2024 Paris Olympics, securing a school record of 13 medals by United States athletes. Harvard had the third highest medal count by school, behind University of Virginia and Stanford.
· Position Description:
o The intern will work as part of the game-day video production team, operating technical equipment to produce and broadcast athletic events on ESPN as well as in venue video board shows.
o The intern will eventually take on the role of Director/Producer at games, with responsibility over all video and audio elements of production, and a game-day leadership role over 10-15 game-day video production assistants.
o The intern will also work on post-production video editing projects, creating original content for the social media, GoCrimson.com website, video board shows, and broadcasts.
o The intern will gain hands-on experience in game-day productions, broadcast engineering, and non-linear video editing.
· Qualifications and Required Skills:
o Must be able to receive academic credit for the internship
o Strong organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills are required.
o Applicants should have a background in broadcast production and/or video editing
o Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects is preferred.
· Academic Credit:
o This internship is designed to be completed for academic credit. Candidates must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university and be eligible to receive academic credit for their participation in the internship.
o Proof of eligibility for academic credit (e.g., a letter from your academic advisor or registrar) is required prior to the start of the internship.
· Work Format:
o Internship, Full-time
o Wage: $15.00 per hour

· Schedule:
o This internship runs from July 2025 – May 2026. Evening and weekend work will be required. Your schedule may vary to accommodate evening and weekend work.
o The intern is expected to commit to approx. 40 hours/week throughout the duration of the 10-month internship, with overtime pay available.

o Boston, MA. Ability to commute or relocate for in-person work is required.
