What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving, Returns, and Shipping Assistant position at Harvard Book Store?
Harvard Book Store is looking for an Assistant in our Receiving, Returns, and Shipping (RRS) Department. This job calls for 40 hours per week.
The Assistant will be trained to receive stock orders and customer orders; process stock returns to publishers; ship out books to customers and contact customers about the status of their orders; sort and shelve received books; work on the sales floor as part of the Bookselling staff. This Assistant won’t be doing all or even most of these every day, but they need to be flexible and cooperative in switching from one to another on a needs basis. Reliability and punctuality are essential, as are an ability for detailed work at a quick pace. Previous bookstore work is a plus; iMrcht experience is a great big plus.
Qualifications:
Its wide range of responsibilities demands communicativeness and flexibility, and close, active coordination with other RRS Staff, and active contact with the Store’s Managers, Customer Orders Staff, Controller’s Office, the Buying Department, and the Director of Events.
