What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crane Operator position at Harvard Integrations LP?
Description:
Assemble and fabricate metal cabinets, enclosures, bases, and/or other components.
- Perform all crane movements within the facility, including moving bases and buildings, setting equipment in buildings, and loading completed buildings on trailers.
- Maintain a crane operator certification.
- Coordinate with production staff to schedule and execute crane operations in alignment with production needs.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the crane to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of rigging and lifting equipment to ensure they are in good condition and safe to use.
- Analyze loads to ensure crane capacities and rigging are acceptable and safe for each operation.
- Serve as the go-to person for all site rigging and loading questions.
- Identify and resolve any issues related to crane operations promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Follow established safety guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as requested.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred. Equivalent experience may be acceptable.
- Experience operating bridge cranes and advanced rigging.
- Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, tape measure, grinders, and saws safely.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
- Requires good judgment, and ability to work with others and perform other tasks as assigned.
- Experience operating a forklift preferred.
