What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director Business Development position at Harvard Maintenance?
The Director of Business Development is responsible for new sales growth including generating new sales leads, garnering and managing client relationships and assuring the highest level of value to the client. This position will work with all internal stakeholders to ensure high-level, consistent service to clients.
- Collaborate in the development of the strategic sales initiatives
- Work directly with Executive Leadership and Sales and Marketing team to strategize and develop new business plans
- Achieve annual sales and profit objectives for region
- Obtain new business, cultivate existing relationships and exceed regional sales budget
- Develop and present sales presentations to prospective and current clients to demonstrate Harvard’s experience and qualifications
- Establish positive and long-term client relationships through prospecting and conducting meetings with clients
- Become knowledgeable on current clients in order to renegotiate expiring contracts
- Develop and maintain a full business pipeline of prospective clients
- Provide timely and accurate reporting of pipeline, account plans and regional management activities
- Close new business opportunities
- Responsible for coordinating quarterly sales and revenue reviews with leadership
- Maintain knowledge of competitors and industry trends
Knowledge and Skills
- Minimum of (5) years industry sales experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Proven and documented track record of winning business. Must be able to demonstrate a history of competitive wins within the industry
- Exceptional client focus skills and superior presentation skills
- Ability to present and influence customer and internal management
- Excellent leadership skills that foster teamwork and ability to build cross-functional relationships
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
