Basic Qualifications
- BA in Economics, Business Administration, Information Science, Statistics, or other relevant disciplines with emphasis on quantitative / statistical methods.
- 3 or more years of experience in the application of quantitative methods to social science and / or legal data or an equivalent combination of graduate education and experience.

This is a one-year term appointment with potential for renewal subject to funding and departmental need.

Job Summary
Harvard Law School (HLS) is hiring an Applied Research Statistician to consult with and provide empirical research support for HLS faculty, primarily, and for other members of the HLS community.
Successful applicants will be comfortable in an environment that requires a high level of independence and intellectual curiosity. Under the general direction of HLS faculty and the Director of Empirical Services, the Applied Research Statistician will develop, design, and conduct empirical research projects; gather, edit and analyze quantitative datasets; conduct background research; design new databases, online surveys and conduct experiments.
