Position Description
Dr. Golden is inviting applications for a Coordinator I position. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to coordinate the launch of a NIH-funded research program to evaluate the implementation seafood production and value chain interventions to protect food safety against extreme heat. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day operations related to this project and provide effective communication with Dr. Golden and other project team members and community partners.
Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
PLEASE NOTE : This is a part-time, benefits-eligible position with a schedule of 17.5 hours / week.
PLEASE NOTE : This position has a term appointment of 1 year from the date of hire with the possibility for extension.

Job Summary
Dr. Golden's research focuses on the human health impacts of climate and environmental change, particularly in the lens of rapidly transforming ecosystems and global resource scarcity. In particular, Dr. Golden has been conducting research in Madagascar for 25 years and has recently launched a new program to understand the impacts of extreme heat on local fisher populations in SW Madagascar. This research will work with an existing cohort of individuals to implement interventions to stem food safety impacts in the seafood production value chain attributed to extreme heat.

Work Format Details
This is a hybrid position that is based in Massachusetts. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. All remote work must be performed within one of the Harvard Registered Payroll States, which currently includes Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Washington, and California (CA for exempt positions only). Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location. Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment.
Salary : $5,250
