Job Summary
The Research Coordinator will support a research program in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing tasks related to the day-to-day operation of NIH-funded research projects as well as projects funded by private foundations, public health agencies, Harvard University, and other sources. In addition to the day-to-day research coordinating responsibilities, she/he/they will serve as the primary liaison with community based partners, e.g., Community Health Centers and Departments of Public Health, as well as with other relevant department and university staff.
Position Description
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
PLEASE NOTE: This position has a term appointment of one year from date of hire with the possibility of extension.
- Assist with obtaining the data and execute any necessary data agreements
- Ensure all human subjects IRB documentation is complete and up-to-date
- Assist with coordinating the work of the Data Analyst and Graduate Research Assistant
- Develop the study website and keep it up to date, including assisting the Data Analyst with uploading data to the Harvard Dataverse Repository in compliance with our Data Management Plan
- Assist with conducting literature reviews to inform study implementation and manuscript preparation
- Monitor overall study progress and assist with preparing the annual and final progress reports
- Schedule and attend all research team meetings
- Assist with preparing the study’s scientific manuscripts and resource materials for the study website
- Draft Edit and prepare correspondence, reports and other materials using word processing, spreadsheets and/or databases
- Make periodic reports of project status to supervisor and the larger research teams
- Support smooth day-to-day flow of communications and targeted outreach for program activities with internal team members as well as external partners and collaborators
- Exercise decision-making and use independent judgement to determine how best to resolve logistical, technical, and conceptual challenges that arise in the course of carrying out project objectives, consider the impacts of relevant actions, and when warranted, make recommendations for action
- Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications
- 5 years of relevant experience is required; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Qualifications and Skills

- Master's Degree, MPH
- 3 Years Experience as Research Coordinator/Manager
- MS Office, WordPress; Digital content creation and editing; statistical software (e.g., R, Stata); survey/data software

Work Format Details
This is a hybrid position that is based in Massachusetts. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. All remote work must be performed within one of the Harvard Registered Payroll States, which currently includes Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Washington, and California (CA for exempt positions only). Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location. Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment.
