Basic Qualifications

- 15 years of proven successful leadership experience is required

- Strong analytical and listening skills; ability to extract and clearly / concisely communicate key points, both verbally and in written communication.
- Works well with senior and C-suite executives, faculty, and has a deep commitment to establishing strong relationships with all constituents of programs and the broader organization.
- Proven ability to shape and execute a strategy with P&L responsibility.
- Deep familiarity with the field of executive education, executive development and / or corporate learning and development required.

This is a hybrid position which we consider to be a combination of remote and on site work at our Boston, MA based campus. HBS expects all staff to be onsite 3 days per week and departments provide onsite coverage Monday - Friday. Please note that for the first 90 days of employment, you will be expected to be onsite 5 days / week. Specific hours and days onsite will be determined by business needs and are subject to change with appropriate advanced notice.

Job Summary
The Managing Director, Custom Programs for Harvard Business School (HBS) Executive Education is responsible for overseeing Custom and Affinity programs to deliver on Executive Education's mission. Reports to the Senior Managing Director, Executive Education. This portfolio head is a strong contributor to the senior leadership team which ensures that Executive Education achieves its academic and financial objectives, creates strong bonds with industry leaders, and sustains HBS as a product leader within the global executive development arena.
