What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Position - Upper School position at Harvard-Westlake School?
Harvard-Westlake School is seeking an experienced maintenance person who has wide-ranging abilities and who is available for significant paid overtime. This person will be part of a team handling maintaining the plant operations function of the school through plumbing, simple electrical, painting, and general handyman-type projects. Team player with the ability to work independently.
This position requires a lot of flexibility : having good hand skills is important, but equally important is the willingness to do whatever is required to ensure that the school's facilities and grounds are clean and in good operating order, that the department is prepared for all major events, and that the procedures and processes are functioning as designed. Able to multitask.
Skills Needed :
We are looking for someone that is skilled and semi-skilled in the related fields :
- Preventative maintenance to buildings and grounds
- Comfortable working with light electrical, plumbing, drywalling / painting, carpentry, tiling, welding is a plus but not required, knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration, and handyman skills

Schedule :
Monday through Friday : Typically, 6 : 00 am to 3 : 00 pm, or 6 : 30 am to 3 : 30 pm with slight variations.
Note : Significant daily paid overtime that would be required beyond the regular workday, including evenings and weekends. You must be available for overtime that may reach 40-50 hours per month.
Compensation : Anticipated base compensation for these roles are between $50,000 - $55,000, depending on experience.
