Upper School Math Teacher
Harvard-Westlake, a coed, independent school in Los Angeles serving nearly 1600 students in grades 7-12, seeks to hire an exceptional and highly qualified educator for a full-time teaching position in the Upper School Mathematics Department (grades 10-12). The successful candidate will have the demonstrated ability to teach a rigorous college preparatory curriculum (algebra, precalculus, and calculus) and be prepared to integrate themselves into the life of the school. The Mathematics Department values team teaching, innovation, and collegiality.
What were looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics or other quantitative discipline (e.g., economics, engineering, physics); Graduate degree (e.g., M.Ed., MA, MS) is a plus.
- High School-level teaching experience preferred.
- The ability to teach Computer Science is a plus.
- Strong communication and organization skills and demonstrated collegiality
- Demonstrated ability to communicate concepts clearly and concisely to students and foster an innovative and creative learning environment
- Ideal candidates will be excited to become part of our vibrant school community, broadly engaging with students and colleagues, and attending events, including those outside their field of study.

Compensation:
Anticipated base compensation is $85,000 - $110,000 depending on experience. The position will begin in August 2025 for the 2025-26 school year.
