We develop robots for agriculture. Our robots are tough, smart, and simple to use, and work every day in nurseries and greenhouses across the country. Our main product is the HV-100 robot, which is an autonomous robot that helps move potted plants within nursery and greenhouse operations.
We are seeking a skilled Lead Service Technician to join our team in Billerica, MA. In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting robots. This includes performing calibrations, upgrades, and service operations for existing robots as well as assembly of new robots. The role will involve collaborating with internal teams to improve service processes, as well as maintaining assembly and repair records.
- Assemble, test, and calibrate new robots and accessories.
- Conduct diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of customer robots at our site.
- Assist in providing email troubleshooting support to customers.
- Assist in shipping and receiving of freight deliveries of the robots.
- Maintain accurate service records and update related documentation as needed.
- Assist Engineering in new product implementation and system upgrades by providing detailed product feedback.
- Cultivate positive working relationships with customers and team members.
- Take initiative in problem-solving and process improvements within the service team.
- Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to solve complex mechanical and systems problems.
- Familiarity and comfort with basic electronic test equipment (e.g., digital voltmeters) to effectively troubleshoot the robots.
- Familiarity and comfort with mechanical tools (e.g. hand tools, torque wrenches) to disassemble, reassemble, and maintain mechanical assemblies.
- Ability to follow written technical procedures for maintenance and assembly operations.
- Ability to maneuver ~75 pound wheeled robots.
- Excellent written communication skills to effectively support customers and maintain service records.
- Experience with embedded electronics and Linux preferred.
- Degree in electronics or relevant experience in the field preferred.
