POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Technician will assure consistent quality of production by enforcing quality and manufacturing standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures all products are produced per ABC's food safety and quality standards.
- Monitors the production process and product by sensory, weight control, and analytical methods to maintain product consistency and comply with established specifications including brix, pH, color, weight, etc.
- Evaluates all finished products regarding ingredient content, color, package fill, finished weights, seal integrity, code date legibility, and other routine testing as required.
- Accurately performs and documents all testing. Testing may include inspection and testing of incoming raw materials, in process products, and finished goods.
- Collect and prepare samples for shipment to outside lab for analysis.
- Identifies and communicates all out-of-compliance situations and product standards to production employees and Production/QA Supervisors. Places out-of-compliance raw material and finished product on hold.
- Obtains samples for bacteria plating and daily quality checks as needed.
- Maintains all laboratory and testing equipment and performs calibrations per schedule.
- Performs environmental testing of air, water, and bacteria according to schedules.
- Performs additional duties as directed by the QA Supervisor.
- Must be able to work overtime as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Minimum High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
Experience: 1 year of production experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but not required.
Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age in order to perform sensory analysis on alcohol.
