Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Food preparation
- Skillfully chopping vegetables and herbs
- Accurately measuring and weighing ingredients
- Assembling dishes following the provided instructions.
- Committing to hygiene practices, wearing the appropriate kitchen attire, and following essential food safety regulations.
- Engaging effectively with other kitchen staff to facilitate seamless operations.
- Safely operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and fryers under the guidance of experience chefs.
- Preparing basic dishes, including pasta, rice, and grilled items, to enhance cooking skills
- Observing and learning from seasoned chefs to acquire new cooking techniques and knowledge.
- Communicating any shortages to the chef proactively to support kitchen operations.
- Keeping workstations clean and organized to promote efficiency.
- Washing dishes and utensils thoroughly to maintain cleanliness.
- Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces and equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Following proper food storage practices to ensure food safety and quality.
- Rotating stock to maintain ingredient freshness and prevent waste.
- Enrolled in or completion of a business related or culinary arts program or related field
- Basic cooking skills and understanding of kitchen equipment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Adaptability and openness to learning new cooking techniques and recipes.
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings or weekends.
- Commitment to a minimum of 15 hours per week
- Duration of the internship is 3-4 months.
