Job Objective:

Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Must be familiar with the requirements of the National Electric Code and it’s application to our installations.
- Must be able to ascend and descend stairs on small, medium, and large tanks, control buildings, and other unspecified locations.
- Familiar with medium voltage equipment, including variable frequency drives and soft starts, as well as starter and motor terminations, including but not limited to 4160 VAC 3 phase power, 480 VAC 3 phase power, 240 VAC single phase power, and 120 VAC single phase power.
- Familiarity with capacitor bank maintenance, high potting medium voltage leads, measuring motors, ground fault detection systems in medium voltage starters, and other medium voltage maintenance and installation operations is a plus.
- Familiar with DC control voltage and current (24VDC, 4-20mA DC).
- Familiar with PLC wiring and PLC function. Knowledge of Allen Bradley and GE PLC’s is a plus but not required.
- Comfortable working with computers (Spreadsheets, word documents, email, and other programs)
- Familiar with D.O.T. Part 195 annual testing requirements and procedures. Must be able to work with the control center to complete annual testing in a scheduled and timely manner. Familiarity with liquid pipeline operations is a plus
- Must be able to install, troubleshoot, calibrate, and test transmitters, including but not limited to the Varec tank level gauge/transmitter, Major head switch, Rosemount transmitters (flow, pressure, temperature, and level (radar)
- Works with the SCADA Engineer and SCADA Tech to ensure maximum uptime and reliability of facility automation and SCADA equipment.
- Calibration of electronic flow switches
- Some knowledge of radio, network topology, and SCADA is a plus
- Knowledge and ability to correctly install tubing and fittings when required

Other Job Responsibilities:
- Directs and supervises contractors as needed to ensure that electrical installations are completed safely, in a timely and cost-effective manner, in compliance with company standards and the National Electric Code as it applies to the project.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- One (1) year minimum experience required with instrumentation and control system maintenance and pipeline operations.
- Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
- Ability to accurately solve problems.
- Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, and the public.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures (Heat and/or Cold).
Education Requirements:
- Work requires an educational background normally acquired through a degree in Instrumentation, Process Control, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
