Essential Job Responsibilities
- Regularly interacts with control room, operations leadership, and field personnel to analyze operational problems, develop alternatives and recommend solutions.
- Seeks and identifies opportunities to optimize systems, save costs, improve operations, and maximize operating performance & value.
- Performs scope development, preliminary design, cost estimating, detailed design, economic analysis, and evaluation of options for maintenance expense and/or capital jobs and growth capital projects.
- Supervises and approves modifications, installation, decommissioning, and other field work, and monitors costs.
- Coordinates and manages third party engineering designs for projects.
- Obtains bids and coordinates equipment and personnel for field activities.
- Capable of demonstrating effective people skills to interact with partners, service providers, peers, support staff and field personnel.
- Must be willing and capable of effectively soliciting ideas from all people involved in the operations or project activities to achieve efficiency and ownership to meet the company's goals.
- Works closely with the project manager or assumes the role of project manager for individual projects or programs as needed.
- Ensures alignment with Harvest policies and practices, applicable codes, recommended practices, and all government regulations.
- Meet with various local, state, and federal agencies regarding assigned projects as needed.
- Performs due diligence work on midstream assets proposed to be acquired by Harvest, including participating in data rooms, conducting field reviews and observations
- Present information at our field monthly update meetings on overall company performance and trends.
- Assist in incident response efforts, if required.
- Must be willing and available to travel to field locations regularly or as needed.
- Must be willing to travel overnight and by large and small commercial aircraft, helicopter, boat, and vehicles, as required.

- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Ten (10) years minimum oil and gas /process engineering experience.
- Broad-based engineering and operational knowledge; able to understand, lead efforts in, or provide internal support for civil, electrical, mechanical and process control issues or designs.
- Experience in creating engineering deliverables such as design basis, heat and material balance, PFDs, P&IDs. Also familiar with sizing process equipment (separators, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, relief valves, and control valves) and developing data sheets and specifications.
- Thorough understanding of equipment design, fabrication, and installation practices.
- Familiar with process simulation and hydraulic modeling software.
- Experience in process safety management and hazard analysis preferred.
- Experience in cost estimating, budgeting, scheduling, planning, and contracting.
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional and solutions-oriented approach with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with special ability to translate complex technical information into an organized and presentable manner.
- Self-starter with proven leadership skills, team player, comfortable working under pressure, and dedicated to developing workforce.
- Ability to solve problems accurately and exceptional proficiency in interpreting process related data. Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
- Willing to travel 25% of the time.
- Preferred: Experience with Harvest Midstream or affiliate company
- Required: Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
- Professional Engineers license, preferred.
