Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Field internships are offered to students taking freshman and sophomore level classes. Field interns will be exposed to daily field operations which includes daily pipeline maintenance, Pipeline and facility construction, Pipeline Operations, Plant Maintenance and Plant Operations. The intern will have an opportunity to also participate in a major plant turnaround or similar large scale project. Interns will be exposed to the same operations but will also work on and present an engineering project for the second half of the summer. Projects may range from optimizing facilities to optimizing pipeline pressure profiles, which may include compressor or pump optimization. Additional studies and modeling for new plant projects and optimization of existing plants may also be available for interns to conduct. The internship will include presentations throughout the summer to management for project approvals as needed. Past intern projects have included corrosion modeling, pipeline inline inspection, compressor optimization studies, Pipeline installation projects, Pump sizing and pipeline maintenance projects.
