What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher Assistant/Paraprofessional position at Harvest Outreach Center, Inc.?
Beacon Academy is currently accepting applications for a teacher assistant/paraprofessional. This position will seek to support classroom instruction and behavioral redirection. Individual must be 18 years of age (21 years of age preferred), hold a high school diploma or equivalent, two years experience working with children or have completed two years of coursework in a related field, a clean driving record and be able to pass a background check. Experience working with children with disabilities preferred. This individual will support students throughout the school day by providing assistance with group work, small group instruction, data collection, behavioral redirection, prompting, classroom support and other duties as requested by the classroom teacher or administration. Candidate will be trained in a physical management curriculum and must be able to satisfactorily pass the written and physical assessments of this program.
*This is a 10 month hourly position following the academic year
