What are the responsibilities and job description for the Athletic Coordinator position at Harvest Preparatory Academy?
JOB PURPOSE: The Athletic Coordinator will oversee the athletics schedules for all sports and serve as the liaison between teachers, coaches, administration, and athletics department. In addition, they will act as oversight for all items related to extracurricular sports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to carry out detailed written and/or verbal instructions. Ability to solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a diversity of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to carry out school objectives. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with others related to learning, problem solving, backup support and fostering team support.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (The following qualifications can be acquired and demonstrated through experience, education and/or vocational training as noted or as appropriate.)
- A candidate must possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Must possess or be able to attain a finger print clearance card
- Previous coaching and administrative experience in a similar setting.
