What are the responsibilities and job description for the Religious Enrichment Program Facilitator position at Harvest Venture Group?
Harvest Venture Group is seeking four (4) highly qualified individuals to join our team as Professional Contract Facilitators for the US Navy Chaplain Corps Religious Enrichment Development Operation (CREDO) programs. These positions will support unit command triads in the Southeast and will be based at one of the following locations:
- Naval Station (NS) Mayport, FL
- Naval Air Station (NAS) Jacksonville, FL
- Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola, FL
- Naval Construction Battalion Center (NCBC) Gulfport, MS
As a Professional Contract Facilitator, you will assist CREDO staff in implementing CREDO Southeast programming and provide administrative support to fulfill its mission of strengthening Fleet, Fighter, and Family.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate Core Programs, Core Plus Workshops, and additional briefs.
- Develop and maintain a quarterly calendar of events and trainings to support planning efforts.
- Create and implement a core curriculum for retreats, workshops, and briefs to align with CREDO Southeast program objectives.
- Conduct marketing and ensure appropriate advertising of weekly, monthly, and special events to maximize outreach and engagement.
- Meet with military commanders and other leaders both on-site and at other installations as assigned.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Navy services and other helping professionals to deliver comprehensive program support.
- Collaborate with installation and tenant commands to provide additional briefs on an on-demand basis.
- Identify and develop new capabilities and initiatives for CREDO program delivery.
- Make appropriate referrals to chaplains or other helping professionals.
- Collect and analyze data to measure the performance and effectiveness of CREDO programs.
- Submit monthly reports to Command Chaplains, the CREDO Southeast Director, and the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR)
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
The Professional Contract Facilitator will support the delivery and implementation of CREDO Southeast programs and is expected to meet the requirements below. The outlined qualifications are vital to fostering a secure and nurturing atmosphere for CREDO participants who may be dealing with challenges like operational or post-traumatic stress, as well as other forms of visible and invisible wounds.
Education Requirements
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Divinity, Pastoral Care, Pastoral Counseling, or a related field.
- Or, Licensed/Registered Clinical Social Worker, Counselor, or Certified Life Coach.
- Or, at least three (3) years of professional experience facilitating/leading group sessions in a supportive setting.
Skills and Expertise Requirements
- Familiarity with counseling and crisis management techniques.
- In-depth working knowledge of the military, ethical values, social issues, and military lifestyles.
- Ability to work within a military structure and independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to effectively lead groups, effectively communicate in varied settings, and speak effectively in front of large and small audiences.
- Exceptional group facilitation, public speaking, and communication skills.
- Expertise in event planning, crisis intervention, and conflict management.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding).
