Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced EHS professional to join our team at HarveStaff. As an EHS specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and regulatory compliance of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective safety programs to mitigate risks and ensure employee well-being.
- Conduct thorough HSE audits, incident investigations, and root cause analyses to identify areas for improvement.
- Perform rigorous HSE reviews for projects and equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations.
- Manage environmental permitting and compliance to minimize our ecological footprint.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop emergency response plans and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSE records.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in engineering or science, with 3 years in HSE compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Cal/OSHA, DTSC, and EPA regulations.
- Experience working in laboratory, field, greenhouse, and office environments.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- BS/MS in Safety, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to pass drug and background checks.
- Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician, Associate Safety Professional, or other professional certification a plus.
