Job Description
- Seed production within a location.
- Indoor seed processing and packaging activities may include receiving, scanning, cleaning, treating, sorting, counting, labeling, or warehousing seed.
- Outdoor activities may include planting, pollinating, note-taking, data entry, and hand harvest.
- May be responsible for preventive maintenance of equipment in assigned areas.
- R&D positions may also include electronic data collection in field and laboratory settings utilizing PC and handheld data collection devices.
- Manufacturing (Production) positions may also include organizing, moving and placing seed into storage, maintaining inventory accuracy utilizing electronic inventory systems.
- Activities may require bending and lifting, as well as long periods of sitting or standing.
Skills Required
- 1-3 years of experience
- Must be able to understand verbal and written task and safety instructions delivered in English, and to perform assigned tasks accurately.
- Must be able to adhere to all client SOPs and to support all site safety requirements.
- Previous experience with MS Office / Excel and other standard computer and software systems may be required.
- Basic mechanical ability/understanding of equipment maintenance (able to operate and troubleshoot equipment) may be required. etc.
Education/Training/Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and/or related experience may be required.
Additional Requirements
- Worker Shift Start Time - 07:00 AM
Pay Rate/Salary
- $15 to $18 per hour based on qualifications.
