Job Description
- Extract DNA from various plant, fungal, and nematode tissues, process DNA samples, verify DNA quality and quantity, run quantitative PCR experiments, and perform other tasks related to different molecular workflows, including molecular cloning and supporting leaf disc-based assays.
- Follow protocols and work closely with scientist colleagues; experiment design is not required.
- Maintain experiments within growth chambers, including cleaning and maintenance of the area.
- Focus on plant care, including planting, watering, disease application, rating plant diseases, and data collection.
- Additional opportunities in plant pathology screening of nematodes may also be available.
