Harvey Construction is currently hiring experienced professionals for the position of Sewer Foreman/Operator and Laborer.
About the Position:
- As a Sewer Foreman/Operator, you will oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of water mains, hydrants, and gate valves.
- This includes supervising Laborers in their daily tasks, providing guidance and support when needed.
- You will also be responsible for flushing water mains, hydrants, and sewers, as well as tapping and inspecting new service connections.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise Laborers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of water mains, hydrants, and gate valves.
- Provide guidance and support to Laborers as needed.
- Inspect manholes to determine condition and locate stoppages.
- Service, adjust, and make minor repairs to equipment, machines, and attachments.
- Perform other duties as required by the company.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is required.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred but not required.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills are necessary.
- Familiarity with mechanical equipment and tools is desirable.
