I hope this email finds you well. We are excited to announce an opening for a Graphic Designer - Games Packaging position based in Pawtucket, RI. This is a 6-month contract role, and we are looking for a talented individual to join our creative team.
Job Description:
Under the direction of the Creative Manager, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and executing game packaging and in-package print collateral that effectively communicates gameplay and brand messaging. This role involves leading graphic design efforts for the 2026-line plan additions and providing backup support for all game brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design In-Package Graphics (60%)
- Utilize team insights to guide item-level design decisions.
- Understand brand strategy and objectives from Marketing, Engineering, and Design & Development.
- Conceptualize and present innovative concepts to meet brand messaging objectives and deliver play experiences.
- Execute instruction guides that effectively communicate gameplay.
- Create in-package printed collateral (brochures, posters, cross-sells, activity sheets, etc.) that convey strong visual branding and marketing messages.
- Design presentation decks and possibly work on storyboards for gameplay videos.
- Collaborate with Development Teams (20%)
- Initiate and attend team meetings, project kick-offs, approval meetings, and status meetings.
- Work within cost parameters for design solutions.
- Monitor and abide by legal, licensor, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage Projects and Delegate Assignments (20%)
- Drive multiple projects through staggered stages of development.
- Delegate design projects to Hasbro production designers, internal agency temps, and outside vendors.
- Prioritize work to maximize support and ensure high-quality results.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), video editing (After Effects or similar programs is a bonus), PowerPoint, and Keynote.
Required Years of Experience:
- Junior: 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Mid-Level: 3-6 years of relevant work experience.
- Senior: 6 years of relevant work experience.
Top 3 Skills to Have:
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Experience in packaging and print/color management.
- Excellent communication skills.
