Job Title: Non-IT Project Manager
Job Description: The primary role of a Non-IT Project Manager is to plan, direct, and coordinate activities in various fields such as engineering, research and development, financial systems, product roll-out, and other non-IT projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans to achieve goals and oversee the integration of technical activities.
- Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.
- Recruit, assign, direct, and evaluate employees, ensuring the development and maintenance of staff competence.

- Position s Contributions to Work Group: Part of a 20 member team managing project plans for different divisions in Tucson for Caterpillar.
- Reason for the Request: Backfill position.
Typical Day in the Role:
- Task Breakdown: Manage project plans in MSP, facilitate control and planning meetings, ensure the quality of project plans, and track risks, action items, and issues.
- Interaction Level: Engage in project control meetings, PMO staff meetings, planning meetings, and communicate via emails, MS Teams, and in-person meetings.
- Work Environment: Five days in the office.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience: 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of business and management principles, strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods, and computer software (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio). Microsoft Project experience is preferred but training will be provided.
- Soft Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Disqualifiers/Red Flags:
- Inability to be fully onsite.
