Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare, examine or analyze accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems.
- Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other tax requirements.
- Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel and direct their work activities.
Skills:
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.
- Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related accounting software.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
- 5-7 years financial and/or accounting experience required.

Typical task breakdown:
- Managing POs and spend for those projects as they execute
- Month-end closing activities to clean up system grief, create journal entries, create accruals, explain monthly variances, create reporting presentations/slides
Interaction with team:
- Support the current Plant Finance Manager directly
- Work with Plant leadership and staff on projects
- Learn the foundry manufacturing process
Work environment:
- Mostly office cubicle, conference room, and occasional visit to the plant floor
- Must be onsite at least 3 days a week, but may require 4-5 at times.
Education & Experience Required:
- 4 year Bachelor’s degree required
- Preferred to be concentrated in Accounting

Additional Technical Skills
(Required)
- Highly skilled with Excel (advanced formulas)/Powerpoint

- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3 years of experience working with capital investment analysis, product cost analysis, business proposal analysis, or similar
- 3 years of financial reporting and monthly closing activities
- CMA or CPA certified
- Skilled in Microsoft Access
- Skilled with Power BI and other analysis tools

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
