Job Description:
Summary: The main function of a logistics planning analyst is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule. A typical planning analyst is responsible for reviewing and distributing production, work and shipment schedules and compiling reports on inventory levels, cost, etc.
Job Responsibilities:
- Examine documents, materials and products, and monitor work processes in order to assess completeness, accuracy and conformation to standards and specifications.
- Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, and material priorities.
- Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures.
- Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.
Skills:
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor and materials.
- Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 0-2 years related experience required.
Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
- Works directly with multiple Client engineering platforms to coordinate ordering, tracking, shipping, receiving and storage of pre-production and production material used for engine testing and lab support.

Typical task breakdown:
- Employee will work with one other team member to preform receiving, storing, and shipping of material to engineering customers.
- Order material from other facilities.
- Prepare shipping material
Interaction with team:
- Tech Center L, office and warehouse setting. This role they would be out in the shop environment and have a desk/office area. Steel toes not required but would need safety glasses on a daily basis.
Work environment:
- Internally with engineers and technicians and other logistics analysist onsite. Office and warehouse setting.
Education & Experience Required:
- Associates Degree preferred, but not required with 0-2 years equivalent work experience (logistics, supplier chain, previous Client experience).
Technical Skills
- Basic computer skills.

- Microsoft Excel experience preferred.
- Client systems knowledge preferred.
Soft Skills
(Required)
- Ability to work in a team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated.
Disqualifier/Red Flag:
Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees are overqualified for position.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
