Job details
Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals
• Develop and execute cohesive strategies, with focus on developing strategies for current and future needs, resiliency, emerging technologies, market trends, government regulations, and business environments.
• Manage complex procurement initiatives and sourcing projects through the full procurement process including contract award and signature
• Perform market research/analysis to determine availability of the requirement, analyze market trends, commercial practices, conditions and technological advances and determine the sources to be solicited
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions
• Provide strategic supply base management including supplier selection, negotiations, and supplier relationship/performance management
• Drive continuous improvement in procurement and contracting
• Work effectively with multi-discipline teams to deliver complex projects
• Provide excellent leadership and direction for the team to become a center of excellence for procurement
• Act as a strategic partner to the organization by effectively managing all procurement activities, identifying opportunities to increase value for money, supply chain efficiencies and net cost reductions
• Take responsibility for all applicable procurement compliance matters. Proactively address any compliance issues internally and externally
• Share and promote best practice across the business and guide colleagues on how to ensure adherence to procurement policy
Preferred Skills:
• Excellent communication skills verbal and written
• 5 years of leadership experience within Procurement/Supply Chain
• C-level experience and Global responsibility
• Proven track record in developing and implementing commodity strategies to deliver improved supplier cost performance
• Ability to partner with stakeholders across all levels to highlight the importance of robust Procurement processes
• Expertise in core Procurement competencies including but not limited to Category Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Digital Procurement and Automation, Sustainability, Compliance and Governance, Risk Management, and Contracting
• Professional certifications in Procurement (CIPS, APICS, CSCP)
Salary : $190,000 - $200,000
