Senior Financial Analyst
9 Months Contract role
Bellevue, WA - Hybrid
(Onsite role, minimum 3 days a week. Fully remote will not be considered.)
Description:
- At least 7 years of relevant experience is required.
- Determines cost of operations by establishing standard costs; and collecting operational data.
- Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
- Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; and recommending actions to management.
- Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.
- Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data.
- Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
- Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications; and coordinating information requirements.
- Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; and reviewing publications.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
What does a typical day look like? (daily tasks):
- Excel: Data organization/consolidation, data interpretation, data visualization, modeling, predictive analytics, financial variance, and root cause analysis.
- Powerpoint: General skills in deck creation, narrative, and storytelling creation.
- Preferred background/prior work experience? Corporate accounting and/or FP&A
- Priority soft skills: Communication, thoroughness, attention to detail, growth mindset, curiosity.
