Job Description
This position will be part of the EdTech Services Engagement and Readiness team. The position will serve as a multimedia specialist responsible for live streaming services. The multimedia specialist will be responsible for planning, coordinating, managing, and producing various media productions to meet complex and high-volume Cabinet audio/video needs for Cabinet and other agencies using Cabinet meeting spaces, Cabinet Studio in Frankfort and occasionally around the state. The position will manage educational video content that is live streamed and/or recorded including, but not limited to, YouTube and Microsoft Teams. The position will support technology needs ranging from media requests/troubleshooting issues to on-site conference room support. The position will be required to work within a team to support processes and strategies for the 171 school districts across Kentucky and Cabinet employees.
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, managing, and producing various media productions to meet complex and high-volume Cabinet audio/video needs for Cabinet and other agencies using Cabinet meeting spaces, Cabinet Studio in Frankfort and occasionally around the state
- Manages educational video content that is live streamed and/or recorded including, but not limited to, YouTube and Microsoft Teams
- Technology support ranging from media requests/troubleshooting issues to on-site conference room technology support
- Remain current with new and emerging technologies that could improve existing services or create new, innovative solutions
- This position may require periodic on-call duty outside normal business hours to ensure that the supported systems operate as intended, and time-sensitive deliverables are addressed. The on-call duties will be defined at the discretion of the client manager and/or the on-call policy for the organization
- Prior Experience / Proven Knowledge of the following: OBS, KVMs, YouTube, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, working within Network Drives, Zoom, Adobe Creative Cloud applications (ideally Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Audition), Word Press
- Prior Experience / Proven Knowledge of the following: Video Switcher hardware (ideally Blackmagic ATEM HDMI and/or SDI switcher), Blackmagic DSLR cameras, Canon XA Camcorders, Manfrotto tripods, XLR mixers/microphones (gooseneck, lavalier, handheld)
- Prior live streaming experience
- Experience with 'run and gun' filming that emphasizes mobility and quick setups capturing footage on the go with minimal equipment and crew
- Experience with studio filming that emphasizes the use of green screen technology, properly micing talent and utilizing a teleprompter
- Experience with technology support in corporate environment
- Must possess good verbal and technical writing skills as well as effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and with a team
- 2 years’ experience in a similar position preferred
Job Type: Contract
Pay: Up to $35.00 per hour
