The Development Engineer is involved in a variety of aspects of new product Idea Generation. One in this position will prepare complete and accurate documentation of approved product lines and provide support to the New Product Development team.

The Opportunity
The Development Engineer is involved in a variety of aspects of new product Idea Generation. One in this position will prepare complete and accurate documentation of approved product lines and provide support to the New Product Development team.
In This Role, You Will
- Idea Generation
- Learn multiple facets of generating new products leads.
- Follow up on leads and develop support to turn leads into approved ideas.
- Product Research
- Conduct accurate & detailed research around industry needs and applicable patents.
- Learn Expansion Analysis and suggest new product lines using generated leads.
- Seek areas to continuously innovate on products and research.
- Product Documentation
- Prepare list of features and accurate calculations to define entire product line offering.
- Create complete CAD prints that properly communicates product design.
- Assist with reproducing technical charts in user friendly format for website publication.
- Catalog Responsibilities
- Take over Item, Assembly, Substitute, and Tool Attribute imports.
- Act as liaison to Marketing department for all engineering related catalog needs.
- Assist with technical information needed for catalog including graphics, text, item tables, tool selection and speed & feed data.
- 4 year undergraduate engineering degree.
- Completion of in-house Tool & Engineering program with Quotations & Technical Support experience.
- Flexibility and desire to take on additional responsibilities.
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.
- Ability to work with staff from multiple departments to implement change.
