You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of revenue accounting and revenue accounting operations globally. This role requires a deep understanding of revenue recognition principles and operational efficiency in a high growth environment. The ideal candidate is data driven, highly inquisitive and collaborative, with a proven track record in leading high performing teams through process transformation.What You’ll DoBuild, develop, and mentor a high-performing Revenue Accounting and AR teamBuild and lead the global revenue accounting function, ensuring accuracy, data quality, and timeliness of resultsPartner with Rev Ops and Business Systems to design and  build GTM systems and process, including CPQ, SFDC, self-serve capabilities, billing platform, usage based pricing models with strong bias toward automation and scaleWork closely with sales, legal, Rev Ops, deal desk  and finance teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition interpretations and efficient order-to-cash operations, including order management and sales compensation calculations Participate in developing and scaling order-to-cash systems, processes, and controls, leading transformation initiatives to achieve desired outcomesBuild strong professional relationships with key business partners, external auditors, and the executive team, providing timely and high-quality communication and guidanceProvide expertise on all revenue recognition practices and decisions for accounting, forecasting, sales, product management, legal and customer supportManage revenue related support provided to external auditors for annual audits Research and document complex revenue accounting matters in technical memosReview accuracy of agreements, signed quotes, purchase order details including terms, customer or partner billing instructions, shipping, product, pricing, and / or discountsManage the AR, Credit and Collections processWhat You HaveBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field10 years of experience, including Public Accounting and 7 years of experience in revenue accounting at high-growth tech companiesLeadership experience to align project goals with organization and sponsor goals, while managing ambiguity, risk, and changing the direction of projects and strategiesAcute business acumen and understanding of ACS 606 Revenue issues and challengesExposure and understanding of consumption-based revenue accounting under ASC 606 and relevant Software and SaaS ASC 606 topicsExperience with Usage Based Pricing models and to self-serve sales-led revenue motionsHarvey is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity / expression, national origin, disability, age, genetic information, veteran status, marital status, pregnancy or related condition, or any other basis protected by law.We are in the early innings of a generational company.
