Job description
The Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining equipment used in the production of pharmaceutical products. This role ensures that manufacturing processes comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to produce high-quality pharmaceutical products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Operation:
- Operate and monitor production equipment such as chromatography skids, columns, cell bioreactors, biological safety cabinets, and laminar flow hoods.
- Set up and adjust machinery according to batch records and production schedules.
- Process Monitoring:
- Monitor critical process parameters and adjust settings as necessary to ensure optimal production conditions.
- Perform in-process checks to ensure products meet quality specifications, including weight, hardness, and dissolution tests.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct visual inspections of products and packaging to detect any defects.
- Perform and document routine quality control checks and report any deviations or non-conformances.
- Maintenance:
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent contamination.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance teams for major repairs.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Adhere to GMP, SOPs, and other regulatory requirements to ensure product quality and safety.
- Accurately complete batch records, logbooks, and other required documentation to ensure traceability and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Safety:
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with other production team members, quality assurance, and maintenance personnel to achieve production goals and resolve any issues.
- Participate in training programs and team meetings to stay updated on processes and protocols.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Skills:
